When making a master image for PVS 7.6 the capture process was way too slow, slower than I had ever experienced before.
After a quick google search, I found a forum post which led me to the correct answer:
Never use 4vCPUs when making a master image with PVS 7.6 before CU1
With 4vCPUs the capture process lasted approximately an hour. With 2 vCPUs the capture process lasted approximately 15 minutes.
This bug is supposedly fixed in PVS Target Device 7.6 Cumulative Update 1. Although I can’t find the fix stated in release notes (http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX142615).
